International Admission Process

The UNAS admission process is designed to facilitate the entry of foreign students through agreements, student mobility or direct application. The Office of Cooperation and International Relations (OCRI) is your main point of contact throughout the entire process.

1Requisitos de admisión

Mandatory documents

  • Valid passport (minimum validity 1 year) — notarized copy
  • Apostilled secondary school certificate
  • Apostilled university academic history (for external transfer)
  • Apostille birth certificate
  • 2 passport size photographs (white background)
  • Motivation letter in Spanish (minimum 500 words)
  • Recommendation letter from home institution (for mobility)

Academic requirements

  • Minimum academic average of 14/20 or equivalent
  • Spanish level: upper-intermediate (B2 or higher)
  • No disciplinary sanctions at the institution of origin

2Pasos del proceso

  1. Initial contact: Write to us at ocri@unas.edu.pe indicating your country, institution of origin and program of interest.
  2. Eligibility review: The OCRI verifies if there is a current agreement or if a direct application applies (up to 5 business days).
  3. Presentation of the file: Send the documents in PDF.
  4. Academic evaluation: The commission reviews your file and may request a virtual interview (up to 15 business days).
  5. Acceptance letter: If you are accepted, you will receive the official Letter to manage your student visa.
  6. Visa procedure: Present the Letter to the Peruvian consulate in your country.
  7. Registration: Upon arrival in Peru, visit the OCRI to formalize your registration.

Fechas importantes

Semester 2026-I

  • Reception of files: November 1 – January 15
  • Evaluation and interviews: January 16 – 31
  • Results publication: February 5
  • Start of classes: March 6

3Costos de matrícula

Admission fees

  • Registration: S/ 150 (≈ USD 40)
  • Semester registration: S/ 450 – S/ 900 (according to program)
  • University card: S/ 20

  • Pacific Alliance Scholarship — covers tuition and stay
  • OAS Scholarship – GCUB — for Latin America and the Caribbean
  • PRONABEC Reciprocity Scholarship — countries with an agreement with Peru

Frequently Asked Questions — Admission

Can I apply without speaking Spanish perfectly?
<p data-block-key="wdqfq">Level B2 is recommended. If you still don't achieve it, you can enroll in the Spanish course for foreigners offered by UNAS before the start of the regular semester.</p>
Are my previous university credits recognized?
<p data-block-key="9fhza">Yes. The validation of subjects is managed with the Directorate of Academic Affairs once enrolled. The process takes ≈ 30 business days.</p>
Is there mandatory health insurance?
<p data-block-key="hn7er">Not required, but highly recommended. UNAS has an agreement with EsSalud for basic medical care at low cost.</p>
