Prohibition of unauthorized taking and dissemination of images in the university environment
All students, teachers, administrative staff, administrators of pages on social networks linked to our university and the general public are informed that:
- It is strictly prohibited to take photographs, record videos or make any type of image capture of people within the university campus, including classrooms, laboratories and other academic spaces, without the express consent of the people involved.
In addition:
- The dissemination of said images through social networks or other digital media without prior authorization is prohibited, especially when such publication could damage the image, honor or dignity of a member of the university community.
These actions constitute a violation of fundamental rights recognized in:
- Article 2 of the Political Constitution of Peru (right to privacy and own image).
- Law No. 29733 — Personal Data Protection Law, which requires consent for the processing and dissemination of images.
- The Peruvian Penal Code (Art. 154-A), which punishes the violation of personal privacy through the unauthorized dissemination of images, with penalties that can reach up to four years in prison.
- The General Regulations and Statute of the UNAS, which protects the physical and moral integrity of the members of the university community.
Therefore, all members of the university community, pages, groups and accounts on social networks linked to UNAS are encouraged to:
- Refrain from publishing images of people without their express consent.
- Immediately remove any previously published content that contravenes what is provided here.
- Promote respect, ethics and digital responsibility in all virtual spaces related to our community.
Avoid engaging in these actions that constitute crimes and lead to drastic sanctions.
